Create an account on the Lynqa Dashboard
You need to create an account on the Lynqa Dashboard to use the Lynqa app (at least to generate a Lynqa API key).
The Lynqa dashboard is an application that allows you to manage your API keys, purchase and track your credits, and view the history of your tests.
Create an account on the Lynqa dashboard
To create an account on the Lynqa dashboard, go to the registration page https://my.lynqa.smartesting.com/register and fill in the fields. You will receive a confirmation email - click on the link in the email to verify your account. Your account is activated immediately.
Using the Lynqa dashboard
Once logged in, you have access to all the dashboard features:
Manage your credits
You can manage your credits from the “Buy credits” tab
Note:
When you create an account, you receive 10 credits to test the Lynqa configuration and run some trial tests.
If you subscribe to a pack, each pack adds a number of credits to your existing balance.
Credits are associated with your account.
All API keys belonging to this account share the same credit balance.
Manage your API keys
You can manage your API keys from the “API keys” tab.
Note:
You can create as many API keys as you want
All API keys belonging to this account share the same credit balance.
You can rename or delete your API keys
API keys can be configured in Jira for the system, spaces, and users. (More details on configuration are provided in the section Configure Lynqa and Xray API keys
Generate an API key
Generate an API key by entering a “Key name” and clicking “Create”.
Copy the key, as you will not be able to retrieve it later.
Once an API key is generated, you can configure your Lynqa API key in Jira.
Manage your executions
You can view test executions performed via the “Executions history” tab
Note:
You can view the individual execution of each test by API key
You can filter executions
Link between the Dashboard and the Lynqa app
You have an account on the Lynqa Dashboard and this account has a set of API keys. In Jira, you configure your Lynqa API keys (for spaces and users). As soon as a test execution is performed by Lynqa in Jira: it is recorded in the Dashboard.
Special case: Multiple accounts on the Lynqa Dashboard for the same Jira instance
You can create multiple accounts on the Lynqa Dashboard: each account on the Lynqa Dashboard has its own credits and API keys.
In Jira, a user only sees tests attached to the keys of one account configured on their instance/space. This means that if a user runs tests on the same Jira space with multiple accounts, they will not be able to simultaneously view the executions of all their accounts. Because, as a reminder, each account has its own API keys and executions.
We generally recommend avoiding creating multiple accounts, unless the creation of multiple accounts is related to the use of keys on distinct Jira spaces and this organization takes into account the rules mentioned above.
Once an API key is generated, you can configure your Lynqa API key in Jira.
